Antique floor register

Look what we found.... My dh installed it today into the kitchen floor so that the heat from the family room would rise into the kitchen.

See my crock on the left. I store Max and Fergus dog food in it. The lid got broke over the holidays. I'm hoping that a little glue will fix it...
I think that I have come down with a cold. I'm talking thru my nose..
Time to take it easy. Linda

    Your register is beautiful! At first I thought it was on your wall (because of the photo orientation) and thought you were talking about the crock. I was thinking, "well, she found another use for the crock (like a heat duct)but it sure looks odd coming out of the wall like that! I have a HUGE crock that was topless. I found an old round wood disk and painted it with a country design to use as a lid and now the crock serves as a trash container. Mind that cold, they're nasty this year! Nadine
