Love fall! I enjoy the fall colours and the cooler temperatures--not a big fan of hot summer weather. Also my work load slows down this time of year, so I can go back to sewing---which is what I really like to do.

I love fall, because, the mowing of the grass has started to die back and I have more time for sewing. But I also love fall for the smells, the damp dew, the smell of the woods on a fall morning, the apple pie baking, the pumpkin pie baking, apple cider, should I continue? ReplyDeleteLots of reasons to love fall, the weather here (Wisconsin) is awesome, we have horses, trail riding is wonderful, no bugs, no hot weather and NO SNOW, the trees are beautiful, front porch sitting, reading and hand stitching. Apple Cidar Donuts at the Orchard, Pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch, Grapes on the Grape Vines, making applesauce and apple pies. I could probably go on and on but I think you got the idea. I love the goosebumps I get on my forearms when I walk outside because it is finally cooler weather!! I love the fall and the springtime! I don't do summer well because I am very hot natured!
ReplyDeleteNothing like building a bon-fire in the fall and roasting marshmallows! let them smolder just until they catch fire, blow out the flame, and eat it while its hot!!

I love the fall because I am a sweater and light jacket person. I love to dress up with these garments and the fall is perfect to wear those. I love it also because it feel fresh in the morning and I enjoy my morning walk.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what is there not to like about fall. After record breaking heat here in Kansas I'm loving theh cooler temperatures (although it's to be in the high 20's C for the rest of the week) but even that is better than what the summer was like. I LOVE the way the light falls at this time of year. I don't know what it is...but it's different than the rest of the year. I love the feeling of urgency to get things 'put away' and 'stored up' for the coming winter. Here in Kansas isn't quite the same as when I lived in British Columbia...we had to prepare to be snowed in for 6 months! Why do I like fall ... oh there are so many reasons! I like the weather much better than summer. It is often warm, but not hot! I like the sunshine in fall. I even like when it rains. I love the leaves changing color and falling down that you can rustle through them. :-) (I do take my kids with me to do this so noone thinks I am a weird over 30-year old rustling through fallen leaves ...) ;-) I love plum cake! My birthday is in fall and my son is born in fall. And I got married in fall.

We live in Fl, so fall means being able to have all the windows open and smell that wonderful air. It's a perfect temp of 70-80 degrees so we can start our garden plants, and walk and bike in shorts.
