My grandson just graduated to a twin bed.
First came the crib, them the youth bed and now the twin.
Not just any twin but an
 antique brass bed.

in the Country Living magazine and thought I could make a red, white and blue quilt. A nautical themed quilt.
This would work I could recreate this look. See the quilt at the
bottom of the bed.
I went down to my sewing studio and pulled out of my stash these

prints in red and blue.
Now I keep on hand at least 10 yards
of white fabric for just in case......
The top piece I will use as my binding.
So I went to work cutting them up into 4.5 inch and 2.5 inch squares. With the white fabric I cut 2.5 inch and 2.5 x 4.5 inch rectangles.
All of my print 2.5 inch squares I drew a line
 across the  centre.

then I continue to sew my quilt pieces together.
I chain piece.
