Whatcha working on....

Spring may have arrived, crocus and hyanthis, and tulips OH MY.

I know I may sound excited, but remember this is a new home for us
and I will be experiencing a whole new landscape.
When we moved in it was mid November. All the trees and plants had gone to sleep.

While I have been reading over all of my new comments and getting to know all of you, I came down with underlining pnemonia.
When spring is here my allergies start up.
I have allergies to mould. Between the thaw and rain my yard is one big lake.
So I stayed in , on the meds for seven days and am taking ADVAIR to keep my lungs clear.
So what sewing have I done,...........well here is a sneak preview of my grandaughters dissappearing ninepatch. Can't show too much or the suprise will be gone.
I made her pillow cases to match the backing.

Here is a set of 6 placemats, you know the ones that are cheaters.
Just add some fabric to the sides and add your batting and backing and we are off the the races.
I decided to machine stitch the binding instead of by hand so that they will stand up to repeated washings. I know they will be put to the test. These are gifts as well.

We inherited 4 card chairs. All they needed was some tender care. My dh took them apart and I reupolstered the seats and backs and he cleaned up the metal with CLR.
The chairs had been damaged by water and rust had formed.
I picked up this 70's material at our fabricland. Don't you just love those bright orange flowers.
It reminds me of wallpaper we once had in a kitchen.

Sew off to my scap bin to find fabric for the jelly roll blocks.
I'm a little behind........ Now what other ufo's have I to finish................

I just happened to look out of my window and these big snow flakes falling.
What happened to SPRING????
I hope to see you soon.....

Linda

  1. You have been busy! Right now I'm making pillows (small ones) for a craft show I'm doing in May. And I'm making sewing buttons onto yo-yos to make flowers. So much to do!
